Panel Speaker at Benefits Canada
Last month I had the privilege of representing Women at Benefits Canada. As an expert in Uterine Disorders in Canada and organizer of CANFib, I answered questions for Major Funders of Canadian Health Programs.
It's my hope that my insights offered the kind of impact that will engage donors of Health Issues to Uterine Disorders, an underfunded, under represented and under researched area of health, Women's Uterine Disorders cost time, money and bring forward debilitating symptoms for 100s of 1000s of women in Canada.
I told funders that it's time for us to speak up. No longer can these be topics kept in the back; covering ears, leaving the room, these things can no longer be done. We need to ensure men and women alike know about Uterine Issues before they find out through experience. It's imperative we know about these issues as a matter of ongoing public discussion and discourse, only then will the proportionate amount of funding and research be allocated.
